 The Dress

Quinceañera gowns represent femininity among other things. The choosing of the dress is an important process, the dress for the occasion varies in price, depending on the wealth of the family or if they will be having financial assistance from padrinos. The Quinceañera gown to her ceremony and party is supposed to communicate her new adult status to her friends and family. The decision as to what kind of Quinceañera dress a girl should wear depends on her body type and tastes. A girl's Quinceañera is a special time, and she should feel both comfortable and beautiful so she can focus on enjoy her friends and family on her special day. Girls can have their dress custom made or choose a dress from a line of already made designs. Also there are different types of Quinceañera's you can have such as Themed Quinceañera’s:

What Not To Do At A Quince (funny stuff not the serious stuff)

What Not To Do At A Quince
(Quince is slang for Quinceañera.)

If you are a Spanish speaker or close friends with a Spanish speaker, then you may have had the chance to go to a Quinceañera. Here are some things you may have seen that you wish you could unsee or just recommend for people not to do at a Quinceañera. 

1. Don't fall asleep at the table
2. Actually, get some sleep or else you are going to look like a zombie.
3. And if you do happen to look tired, make you tell your makeup person to make you look wide awake.
4. Also, EAT BREAKFAST or else you'll faint.
5. Don't complain about makeup being "too exaggerated" because it will show very nicely in photographs. Unless you look like this girl.

(That is just a stereotype,  please don't get pregnant on your Quince)

6. Don't use lit candles for your vals unless you want to burn like a barbeque cookout.
7. Flaunt what you got. If you don't got it, then don't show it.
8. Don't try and show off your dance moves because you might be really bad

10. If you're the Quinceañera or Chambelane don't bolt into the first bathroom you think is empty...you never know what you'll run into. Seriously, on mine I was joking and bolted to the guys bathroom that was to my left. I ran back out as soon as I ran in. I told my royal court that I saw this dude taking a leak at the urinal and described what he looked like...then one of my Chambelanes spoke up and said that was his dad. Most embarassing moment of the night!
11. Make sure your eyebrows don't look like hairy monkeys on your face. Or like you're a chola about to throw down.
12. Make sure you don't have super thin eyebrows. You don't want to rock the Sharpied on eyebrows.
13. Remember to be hairless in your armpits. Especially if your dress is sleeveless or strapless!
14. Do not twerk in front of grandparents or parents...or any family member unless they're okay with it.
15. Don't take drama too seriously/personally because you'll end up looking like the blonde girl from the Princess and the Frog. (It's about staying away from drama, even though its probably going to happen anyway)
