:)

Happy summer everyone, the weather has been gorgeous and finally warming up and less rainy in my neck of the woods. I hope everyone is enjoying the weather and their days if you're out of school or on your day off of work. Go out and enjoy the day. I have a graduation I'm attending Saturday and this girl Alma, she's like my niece. Her mother was raised with my sisters, so she's like an extra sister. Therefore Alma is family. I love her since the day she was born. She recently asked me how can she deal with college? She is ambitious she's going off to be a pediatrician and she's starting that journey this fall but graduating first from high school this Saturday. So I went to my favorite book list on amazon. I read too much and write too much as well but most of all I love sharing my favorite books with others and if they help then so be it. For her I ordered
Adulting: How to Become a Grown-up in 468 Easy(ish) Steps by Kelly Williams Brown. She has advice for the readers. Somethings are simple that you can think of yourself and then again there are so many other helpful things in her book that I wouldn't have thought to mention to Alma. The second book I ordered her was The Girl's Guide: Getting the hang of your whole complicated, unpredictable, impossibly amazing life by Melissa Kirsch. Also a good book. Anyways so I'm going to put together this cute little box of things for her and a card. A card I've been writing and rewriting because each time I read it, it just doesn't seem to capture everything I want to say to her. Has anyone else had this problem? I have until Saturday morning to get it right so wish me luck.

On another page I'd like to shout out to a new author. She just debuted her novel on Amazon. Two stories, one about werewolves and one about vampires. I like to support new authors as well as well known ones. If you get a chance check the novels out. They're cheap on Amazon Kindle. I've found lots of great authors on Amazon Kindle.

A New Chapter

Hey welcome to Sweet Things Here and There!  This is my first blog and the first of many postings. I'm basically here to write about little things that interest me.  It can vary from books, movies, music to cooking and things to do around. I like to take pleasure in the small things. A little background on me, I am the youngest I'm my family, I love to write and enjoy music of the punk/rock/alternative.  I am still in school and often struggle with maintaining my family traditions while trying to be myself. There's more to me than meets the eye and I am your typical girl with a burst of randomness. I'm looking forward to entertaining you and writing. :)
